This 2016 - Houston 48 Hour Film Project - 2nd Place Overall Winner - was the collaborative product of an amazing group of people. Many of us knew each other but this specific group of creatives had never come together all at once until this film, which consequently won 11 Awards. Happy Endings won both Lauren Haworth and Joel Orr Best Actor awards, as well as a plethora of Editing, Directing, and Sound Design awards.

This micro-short film was made as a promo video for The Catastrophic Theatre's production of "The Hunchback Variations" by Mickle Maher. We were very lucky to have collaborated with some of the Two Star Symphony members (Cathy Powers, Chris Bakos, Jerry Ochoa, Margaret Elmore, Joe Wozny, John Duboise) for the soundtrack. While watching the film via projector, the group improvised various musical effects to match each sound cue. It is still one of our favorites!

This trippy piece of entertainment was made for The Catastrophic Theatre to promote their production of "The Danube" written by María Irene Fornés. Its strange tone and eerie vibe, due in part to some fun timelapse tricks, set the stage for an amazing performance. Fun fact: Editing the timelapse footage of the dying flower to correlate with the sound of a heart beating took some serious math and a whole lot of midnight oil to get it just right.

Here is another great promo video for The Catastrophic Theatre - can you tell that we adore them? This fun and also slightly trippy video is a teaser for the show "Song About Himself" by Mickle Maher. Many of these promos are filmed with a serious time constraint due to the schedules of those involved. This one was no different! We built and painted that door white just a few hours before shooting with Tamarie at the Blue Ribbon Digital Media studio in Houston.

This Catastrophic Theatre teaser was for the show "Everything Will Be Different" by Mark Schultz and, much like the show itself, is both endearing and painfully harsh. With a style resembling a game show, this video took a good bit of pre-production and planning to get everything timed out correctly and looking its best. And, of course, we got to do some of our editing magic in post as well, which we suspect you'll never notice!
